Our Principles for Handling Your Data

ADENION GmbH is committed to treating all personal data, such as names and email addresses of customers and users, with strict confidentiality. We will only share your data with third parties to fulfill agreed-upon purposes. This privacy policy explains how we use and protect your data.

General Use of Our Websites and Services

Website Terms of Use

Unless a separate login is required, you acknowledge and agree to our website’s terms of use simply by starting to use our website.

Collection of General Information

Our website automatically collects and stores information in its server log files, which your browser transmits to ADENION. This information (server log files) may include the type of web browser, the operating system used, your internet service provider’s domain name, and similar details. This data does not allow us to identify you personally. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the content you request from our webpages and is a standard part of internet usage. We statistically analyze this anonymous information to optimize our online presence and the underlying technology.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we use “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that a website server transfers to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data, such as your IP address, the browser you are using, your computer’s operating system, and your internet connection.

The information contained in cookies helps us make navigation easier for you and ensures our web pages are displayed correctly. Of course, you can generally view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are usually set to accept cookies automatically. You can disable the use of cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please refer to your internet browser’s help functions to learn how to change these settings. Please note that some features of our website may not function correctly if you disable cookies.

Registration on Our Website

By signing up, registering, downloading, or participating (expressed by submitting a relevant form), you consent to ADENION storing and processing the personal data you enter in the form. Additionally, you agree to receive information from us about articles, product updates, and promotions via email or telephone at irregular intervals. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see the section “Your Rights”).

SSL Encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g., SSL) via HTTPS.

Data Collection by Third-Party Providers

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), located at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will first shorten your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies if you wish to prevent the recording of measurement data. If you have deleted all your cookies in your browser, you will need to set the respective opt-out cookie again.

We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google.

Embedded YouTube Videos

Some of our web pages embed YouTube videos. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, located at 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with a YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. YouTube is informed about which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

When a YouTube video is started, the provider sets cookies that collect information about user behavior. If you have disabled the storage of cookies for the Google Ads program, you will also not have to expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

For more information on data protection at “YouTube,” please refer to the provider’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

When a website user accesses a page on our website that contains such a plugin, their browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective social network. The plugin content is transmitted directly to the browser and integrated into the webpage.

By integrating the plugins, the social network receives information that the website user has accessed the corresponding page of our website. If the website user is logged into the social network, it can associate the visit with their account. If the website user interacts with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from their browser to the social network and stored there.

The purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by the social networks, as well as your related rights and setting options to protect your privacy, can be found in the privacy policies of the respective providers.

If you do not want social networks to collect data about you via our website, you must log out of the respective social networks before visiting our website.

Google AdWords, Remarketing, and Other Advertising Services

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking and Google Remarketing. We also use services from other providers like Quora and Facebook for similar purposes. You can find details about the individual services and opt-out options in the complete privacy policy on our website.

Product-Specific Data Protection Provisions

Assistini.com (WebApp and WordPress Plugin)

Collection and Storage of Personal Data

When using the Assistini WordPress plugin, the following personal data is collected and stored:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Website URL

This data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Providing the functions of the plugin
  • Communication with users
  • Administration and support

Use of Personal Data

Assistini establishes a connection to our API to enable direct interaction with users within the plugin interface. For this purpose, the plugin requires users to log in via an account on our system. It processes user inputs and displays relevant responses accordingly. Each time the plugin is loaded, it transmits a user identification generated by our system to facilitate personalized interaction and ensure proper functionality.

Use of External APIs and Their Impact on Data Protection

Assistini sends user input (e.g., text input for AI processing) to external third-party AI models, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Grok, and Perplexity. This processing is necessary to provide the requested AI functionality.

As these third-party providers are independent data controllers under the GDPR, ADENION GmbH has no control over their privacy policies, data processing, and storage. Users are requested to inform themselves directly about the privacy policies of the respective providers.

Through the use of these APIs, data may be transferred to servers outside the EU. These third-party providers may be subject to their own data protection regulations that do not fully comply with the GDPR. ADENION GmbH ensures that only the data necessary for the plugin’s functionality is transmitted but does not store any content of user input.

Users can stop using the AI functions at any time by deactivating the plugin or contacting support. ADENION GmbH cannot guarantee the complete deletion or restriction of data that has already been transmitted to third-party providers. Users must contact the respective providers directly.

Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

The stored personal data will not be disclosed to third parties unless this is legally required or necessary for the performance of a contract.

ADENION has no direct access to the data stored by third-party providers or external platforms. If there is an obligation to block or delete your data, we will implement this upon request.

You can also request the deletion of the data, provided that there is no legal archiving obligation, the data was provided for the purpose of widespread dissemination on the internet, the media privilege applies, or Adenion has no direct influence on this data (deletion from internet portals). If there is an obligation, we will block your data upon request.
